The Castle Inn is situated right next to Lydford Castle. We called into the bar side whilst visiting the area. Didn’t see the main restaurant side, but the bar area was fabulous. Full of history oozing with country pub charm. With a big roaring fire friendly staff we were quickly made to feel welcome by the friendly staff. What John W doesn't like about Castle:
Two out of four had plaice which were microscopic portions. As a man, I was left ravenous as it contained 4 mouthfuls of food and I have had bigger starters. Fish and chips were OK as was steak pie. Bill for one course Inc one drink each was £83 at lunchtime. Very poor value for money. View all feedback.
