Love the atmosphere here. It is an iconic venue and relieved that Holiday Inn has not changed it. We were staying in hotel this time and weren't warned when check in in that is was very busy otherwise we would have reserved a table. So we had to have a shared high stool one. Food was very good. We have been to this restaurant a few times and it’s been ok. We booked a Christmas lunch and it was such a disappointment. The food was fine and plenty of it, but the wait time was incredibly long . The manager and staff became so stressed because the chef and kitchen could not cope with the amount of patrons. Because of the wait time we got our sweets takeaway . If you want to try with a large gathering, you can book the large dining room of the restaurant, and there is a eating area with chairs/tables.
