I arranged to meet friends here as I was due to be in the area. I hadn't been in this particular establishment for around 15 years. I was very glad to see that it had changed considerably for the better. The staff were very friendly and chatty. There were 3 beers on pump, including Harvey's, which was well kept. Met up with my friends on Saturday night, I walked in the bar was very busy nobody moved out of the way for me to get to the bar to order a drink, the bar staff are very lovely but I feel the pub has gone down hill in the last 6 months, was always so nice friendly don’t quite know what’s happened! The local has an area where one can enjoy at tables, and there's a counter where you can sit and taste. If the weather are right, you can also eat outside.
