First time we have been to Va Bene, we shared meatball starter, our friends had garlic mushrooms and bruschetta which were lovely. Main course I had steak with Gorgonzola sauce which was so tender and cooked to perfection. For dessert I had honeycomb cheesecake which was gorgeous. Will definitely return. Staff lovely. On arrival it seemed as if we had been forgotten, the table for was not laid out and we were put next to the open kitchen, this did ruin the experiences as it was noisy, meaning we were unable to comfortably talk, but as they started cooking flamed and sizzling food we left smelling of bbq smoke.The food was okay but having been told they could cater for gluten free, the waiter didn;t seem to know what was available....
