Whilst staying at the hotel we booked in for afternoon tea yesterday. Lovely welcome and seated quickly. Full explanation of the different teas available. Upgraded and had a bottle of Prosecco (a little expensive but worth it). Didn’t have to wait too long for our teas and food. All sandwiches and cakes explained when they arrived. On Thursday August 18th I went for afternoon tea with the Holmes Chapel Jodrell Ladies Probus. I was most disappointed with both the service and the food. There was only one person to serve us so we were given a cup of tea at 2pm but no food until 2 45 pm. The sandwiches and cakes were certainly not worth the £23 we paid.
