"We have come here many times before but this is the first time our meal has been substandard. We ordered seebass, a delicate fish but excellent when cooked properly. Our fish was sadly totally overcooked. The potato mash was meant to taste of lemon but was tasteless. When we expressed our disappointment we were told had we complained they would have replaced the meal. That misses the point, namely it should never been sent out in the first place. That apart service was good and of course it’s a great venue to visit. Sadly we shall give the Bulls Head a miss for a while."

"I have also reviewed this on the hotel page but felt I needed to reiterate it here. The menu was very limited, not what is advertised on the hotel website. The options were chicken, cod or vegetarian!!! The food was over cooked and ready in minutes. Obviously prepared in volume. Not worth the money. We ate out four time that weekend and this was the worst food we had, and we were at table table for one of those."

"Was a quiet night as I called in on my own as working away on a Tuesday but the food was superb and the waiter couldn’t do more for me. I eat out a lot and this is right up there. "The mad Hatters tea party as tasty bites for the family to spend the summer vacation. was not really sure what to expect, but it was amazing. the team had made a fabulous job to dress the pub, it looked amazing. the afternoon's own was delicious probably too much we couldn't finish everything! the personal dressed (and remained in character) that was a beautiful note and the selfie corner was a great hit with my 8 and 10 year old girls. we would definitely book this again, it was a good value for money and definitely recommended. well done!"

"I was given a voucher for Q Hotels by some friends as a birthday treat and booked Afternoon Tea for me and my husband. I was born in Crewe and I am proud of my home town and a visit to Crewe Hall was a real treat. On arrival we were shown into the beautiful Sheridan Lounge with it's ornate wooden carving (what a let down that the furniture looked like it had come out of the 1960's). The waiter described which teas were available.The crockery was set out on the table but it wasn't the quaint china I thought it would be. We chose which tea we would like and were brought a selection of finger sandwiches, two scones with cream and jam and a selection of cakes. We both felt that the cakes were on the bland side. I am sad to say as a local that I am disappointed at Crewe Hall. I was expecting a high standard but unfortunately I was let down. This Afternoon Tea certainly wasn't worth the price we paid (even with the voucher). If you want something classy, go to Rookery Hall in Nantwich to see how Afternoon Tea should be served!"
