A great spot for a birthday celebration ... we took my grandson along with a friend of his and enjoyed a carvery lunch with prosecco to start with, followed by some home made birthday cake and a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday to you sung by the staff who were great before, during and after our meal. I live over an hour away and first heard of this pub 11 years ago. I finally got here for a mid week lunch. Not disappointed, in a lovely area, a proper English old pub, that has not been spoiled and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
