Great experience whilst visiting the park grounds remembering the past heritage of the area which used to look so different not so long ago before all collieries were closed., A Small museum above the cafe, a great collection from local ex-minors and their families. Yes, the cakes are excellent I am sure the toilets are fine and dandy but this is supposed to be a Heritage centre. When I was there a couple of years ago, the artefacts were in chaotic disarray and it would have been...very difficult to learn anything at all about the history or people of Horden, Except for football.
