"Fantastic spot, tucked away in a beautiful location. We turned up late last night and they were more than accommodating given the time. Great atmosphere, brilliant service and a delicious selection menu to choose from. Very reasonably priced will most certainly return!"

"I love the camel and chips, it's my favorite thing to eat here. make sure they ask for 2 humps and not one. they should also try the broken crocodile, nowhere comes close to here. the employees are all beautiful, especially the somewhat older women. she always gives me the wrong food that can make fun, and I am with more money than I went with after she gave me my change. she keeps the dinge interesting overall comes this chippy highly recommended! enjoys!"

"About five minutes drive from the excellent Beamish Museum, this is an equally excellent pub; traditional, unspoilt and down to earth, it could almost be part of the museum, but this is a real genuine pub, no museum exhibit. Yes, it's a bit rough around...the edges, but all the better for being so. There are two separate bars, a lounge and public bar, each with its own distinctive character. The fantastic selection of about eight ales on offer are all from small local independent breweries. Food, from a changing blackboard menu is excellent too, and very good value. I thoroughly enjoyed the pan fried salmon fillet served with asparagus, a choice of potatoes (very good chips for me) and a salad accompanyment. Staff are particularly friendly here."

"A friend invited me to the Stonebridge Inn, promising that they have wonderful food and enormous portions. You will not leave hungry. I went there for the Sunday roast, and everything was delicious. The turkey was juicy and savoury, the vegetables were perfectly cooked, and the Yorkshire pudding was the best (and biggest) I 've ever had. But the real highlight was the sticky toffee pudding, which melted in my mouth and was accompanied by a delicious custard. I can 't speak to their status as a pub, but the bar looked beautiful and well-stocked, and the servers were very attentive, so I have high hopes. The prices are very reasonable for what you 're getting, so I 'm happy to recommend the Stonebridge Inn. The food is wonderful, the portions are enormous, and you will not leave hungry."
