lunch was for the annual day of my father-in-law who died 2 years ago. as usual the restaurant was very busy (always a good sign) so glad that we booked, especially as it fell with half-time. on the bottom this meant that it was quite loud and sometimes hard to hear our own conversation. we had a nice table at the fire that made it nice and cozy while we waited for our food. as usual there was a large and varied menu... Well renovated pub with lovely atmosphere. Main course sea bass and roast) delicious, sadly starters prawn cocktail and falafel) not good... good prices though. And well situated for walks in Ashdown Forest. Very friendly staff and new owner! View all feedback.
