At last open again after covid for sit-down fish and chips. Excellent, just as before. Friendly staff, and amazing hot, fresh, cod, chips and mushy peas. Simply the best. I came all the way from Switzerland for this, and it was worth it. read more.

Have just had takeaway meal from The Jolly Fryer. I have to say it was totally revolting. How anyone can wreck cod, chips and mushy peas SO badly is beyond me. Soggy chips with a layer of mushy peas ladled over them and finished with an undercooked piece of cod slapped on top.
