"At last open again after covid for sit-down fish and chips. Excellent, just as before. Friendly staff, and amazing hot, fresh, cod, chips and mushy peas. Simply the best. I came all the way from Switzerland for this, and it was worth it."

"We ordered a pizza and chips tonight. While the chips were lovely the pizza was unfortunately not cooked through. We called back up and was immediately offered another and they offered to deliver. Amazing we thought and the main reason they are getting two stars not one. Second pizza same issue. Topping cooked but dough between that and the base was not cooked. If you pulled it off you could make it look like dough again. For a thin pizza this was an amazing achievement. What a waste of £10+ quid. We couldn't be bothered to try for 3rd time lucky."

"During the COVID 19 events I have missed many things. High on the list was a local fish and chip shop on the High Street in March. I was checking now and again to see if the had opened but was always disappointed Then, I read they had indeed opened for takeaway only and, they had made available an option to order online and then go collect, cutting the time required at the actual venue. I couldn’t wait to have a portion of cod and chips However. I was mightily shocked at the condition of the fish. It was thin, greasy and tasted overcooked I was not able to eat it and I will not be going back. Frankly, I would rather go without than risk ordering again I was so upset. They have always been fantastic. Nope. Never going again. I’m sad but I can’t waste money like that"

"I found the food was oily, it just wasn't to my taste, it seemed either the food hadn't had time to drain or the oil was old and needed changing or not hot enough when cooked and the food had absorbed the oil. all i could taste was oil so i didn't like the food, i have asked about and some people think the food is good and they liked it, so it could be personal choice."
