I have had the lean brisket a few times now. It won't rank up with the best I've ever had, but it is pretty good. Never overcooked, just doesn't really have a smoky flavor. But their house sauce is good and the atmosphere is interesting. They offer live music on the weekends although I've not been for that. Staff was very friendly and haven't had an issue there yet. Food is pretty decent but they add 30 percent to a 10 dollar order for paying with a credit card. What kind of small town business extorts their customers like that and thinks it's acceptable? I would expect that in Austin but not in Gatesville. View all feedback.
