"We are not from the area, just passing through, and my husband is a huge steak guy. So we had to stop by Ranchers Steakhouse and while the wait staff was very welcome and sweet the environment was clean nice the food fell short for us tonight. My husband got the 8oz sirloin, mashed potatoes, and Mac n cheese. I got the catfish baked potato, and the only thing either of us really enjoyed was the potatoes. Although, I was very impressed by their options at their salad bar options on their Kids Menu. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was just just average for us."

"The service is always wonderful. Unfortunately they have just been understaffed for a while. I completely understand if it takes a while to get my order out. I work in customer service, myself and I've seen these employees cry over rude customers. If people can't be patient with other businesses being under staffed then they shouldn't go out. Karen's and Kyle's: go cook for yourself and stop picking on service employees. Taco bell, I completely understand and thank you for being my go to when I'm doing my homework for college."

"I've been meaning to post a review for The Feed Mill for a long time now, but I always forget to take pictures when my food comes out. My wife and I come here on a regular basis because it's by far the best restaurant in Gatesville. The waitresses are always fantastic, and you get treated like a regular from the second you walk in the door.. Everything I've ever gotten has been delicious. Prime rib, catfish, burgers, and the Philly cheesesteak are a few of my favorites. Their homemade desserts are out of this world delicious too. I can't speak highly enough of the folks at The Feed Mill!"

"The BOB hamburger is great from what my son said. My loaded brisket potatoe with was less desirable. The potatoe tasted like it had been reheated from a prior day and the cheese came off is a glob of waxy mess. It had no butter, sour cream, or chives. Just cheese and chopped brisket. It was take out so I tried to salvage it with my own cheese, butter, and sour cream, but couldn't. It went to the trash. I have had their brisket plates with potatoe salad and baked beans which is good. So maybe stay away from the potatoes."
