Don't expect your average pub fair when you eat at The Republic. The menu offers a broad flavour range, with some definite flair added since I last ate there aeons ago. I had the chargrilled octopus, and while the occy could have been a little more generous for the price tag, it was delicious, every mouthful a morsel of delight. We regularly attended the Monday night trivia which ended late last year which was excellent. However, with the pub being sold and the new management sacking all the old staff and quizmasters, and instituting Funky Bunch trivia has ruined what was once a great evening out.
