I 've cycled past this place many times and always meant to come back and have a proper look. This morning, after a lovely walk in the nearby hills, we stopped for a glass of wine and a bite to eat. La Calchere is a wonderful example of how to bring an old industrial building, in this case a circular lime kiln, back to life.
