This is my favorite restaurant where I've ever been in my whole life. The food is delicious, the staff is nice, great service... I could go all day about the good things about this restaurant. Very recommended if you go somewhere to eat. By the way, if you eat here, ask if you can sit with the chef Matt. He is by far the best Hibachi cook there. What Courtney Meagher doesn't like about Sogo Sushi Hibachi:
18% “service” fee added to our party of 2… to which the server, who was great, had to explain it wasn’t her tip… it was for the hibachi chef and for the sushi chef and she only got 4% of it. She also added that a lot of restaurants are doing that now which I have never had on any of the checks that I have ever eaten out at recently and I eat out quite a bit. There was no posting of this additional 18% fee anywhere visibly. She did say that it was in very fine on the menu. Just left a very bad taste in my mouth! Will probably never return.(again the server was lovely! I just don’t agree with that. I’ve seen service fees added for parties of six or more never for a party of two and we only ordered sushi.
