"The skill and showmanship of the chef varies. Service was a little slow but not bad. The food tasted good, especially when hot off the grill. They were very careful to accommodate someone at the table with a food allergy but then used the same utensil to cook with both groups of food after separating them. Fortunately, she clarified that her severe allergy did not include touching the food or using a utensil that had touched the food. But my hope is that the chef fully understands the depth of the food allergy before starting to cook."

"I've been going to Sumo for a few years. This is my favorite sushi place! You have unsurpassed hospitality. The sushi is not the greatest of the world, but it is the most consistent thing I had and far above the normal standard. Any role I've tried is great and the special roles are even better. Recommend Sumo for every occasion. The staff is very polite and I never had a problem with phone instructions or in-person eating in the last 5 years I visited. The food comes out in time and the price is right. Amazing place for sushi and the opportunity Hibachi court!"

"The food was good however we had a reservation and ended up waiting like 10-15 minutes to be seated. The waitress messed up one of our orders so it had to be made in the kitchen and not in front of us. We never got refills for our water and it was clear the other party was made priority over us. They were offered saki and we weren't. Whenever there was leftovers the other party got more of the rice, noodles, meat etc. Then when the bill came it was split wrong so we ended up paying more in gratuity (cause it was included) despite having a mediocre experience."

"Love the food and really good service. But the bathrooms are neglected which worries me because how does the kitchen look"

"Wanted to try a new sushi place, so we checked out humo! my partner is not vegan, so we try to go to places that we both have a lot to eat. sumo had a decent choice. I have the oshinko roll, which was very refreshing and delicious! I also have the teriyaki tofu dinner that comes with suppe, salat and white rice. if they are vegan, make sure to ask for no ingwer dressing as it mayo contains. I added a little suppe broth, soy sauce and ginger to dress my, and that was actually quite good. the tofu came out and although the portion size for the price seemed somewhat small, I was very pleasantly surprised with the taste. it was very delicate, slightly crispy and delightful with tasty sauce and fresh tasting veggies. Usually I wouldn't even order something like this when I go to sushi, but it's so good I'll get it back! the service was fast and friendly, we went around 18 o'clock on a Saturday, so I was surprised that we sat and served so quickly. I look forward to the visit of sumo again!"
