This Vietnamese restaurant in Scarborough's Huntingwood Square is a hidden gem worth discovering. The Spicy Beef Carrot Pho was recommended and features a decent amount of meat and noodles. The spring rolls are crunchy and delicious, especially when dipped in vinegar and sriracha. The restaurant tends to be packed on weekends but offers a delicious dining experience. The Bun Rieu, Pho, and other dishes are flavorful and satisfying. The tomato crab soup is a must-try, with a rich and aromatic broth that will have you craving more. The restaurant may be small, but it offers a cozy and homey atmosphere perfect for enjoying authentic Vietnamese cuisine. With unique items like deep-fried onions and pickled mango and radish adding a special touch to each dish, this restaurant stands out from other Vietnamese eateries in the area. Overall, the food is delicious and worth a visit, especially for those looking for a different take on traditional Vietnamese cuisine.
The average review for Bong Lua Vietnamese Restaurant is 4.3, which means that the customers have a very high opinion of this restaurant.
What Teresa Yu likes about Bong Lua Vietnamese Restaurant:
Came to Toronto for a visit and stopped by this Vietnamese joint. Everything was so delicious. We ordered the spring rolls which were freshly fried. As well as the special beef pho and Bun Rieu (Tomato crab soup noodles) the soup was nice and hot, and very soothing. We will miss their pho and hope to visit again when we are in Toronto next time. What Lily Li doesn't like about Bong Lua Vietnamese Restaurant:
Not bad but could be better! The bun rieu had great soup but barely any meat. They did give half a crab but it was very hard to get all the meat. The bun bo hue is on the spicier side but had lots of meat. The viet coffee was a bit disappointing, it tasted a bit too watered down. The whole restaurant was not very bumig and smelt a bit funky but the food was decent and it was quite busy.
