"Tucked away behind the 401 at Port Union Road, this is an unexpected dining treat. Cosy restaurant with an expansive menu of pastas, pizzas and mains, you'll likely find something for all tastes. The pizza is excellent and reliable, makes a great appetizer for sharing. Pastas are typically very good also, all made fresh to order with options to create your own twist on the standard offerings. This time tried the set meal, with 4 courses for $26 it was great value and delicious. Delighted to have this nearby as a dining option, always a wonderful meal here."

"We have been to Black Ox 3 times, just to give it another chance once and for all. The first time we came, the management was new and the prices were reasonable. The food was also high quality with great flavours. The second time we went, the food was mediocre at best with poor customer service and we told the manager at the time, who then offered us a free meal. We went back again and the food was notably much worse. There is no taste, no seasoning, tough steak, and the lasagna is one layer of pre-made beef patty with 4 layers of just lasagna sheets (no meat and cheese layers). The mashed potatoes used to have so much garlic flavour, but now barely has salt. The sauce used to come generously on the side, but now just a bit on the steak itself. The poutine was to die for before, but now is lazy and clumped together with huge blocks of cheese that don't melt. It was such a let down. This restaurant has become full of itself as the "only high-end halal steakhouse in Toronto" and the quality has gone downhill. It's a real shame, and I hope this place can live up to its exclaimed standards. I would not recommend this place anymore and I think the food is overpriced for what is offered in terms of quality of food and customer service."

"The chicken wings served here are truly the biggest and the juiciest we have had yet. There is a wide variety of types of wings and sauces. We had the 'medium ' level of heat with a BBQ creole sauce that was delicious. The price for 10 wings was good- great value for this quality and size of wings. We will return again to try another variety. There are screens at every booth and a few large screens to view the game. Service was very good as well."

"Reserved a table and got in right away. But from there went all downhill. Waited over 30 mins after ordering to get our food. And when my wife order the special of the day, seafood ravioli, which cost around $18. She recieved a total of 5 ravioli. Not impressed with this restaurant after hearing good things about it."

"Absolutely horrible, Never, Ever come here. This place is horrible. I spent hours here after ordering drinks that took 45 mins to come. Along with every other plate that was served. I sat down for 30 minutes before I seen a waiter. Served the children expired “milkshake”. The impossible burger was horrible we had to return it. The bills weren’t correct. On top of gratuity that was 15% where was the service for you guys to be deserving any type of type. Disgusted. FIRST AND DEAD LASTTT. HORRIBLE. Only come if you have 160$ to spend on 4 items. SMHHH. You need to close down."

"Among the best Vietnamese restaurants. 3 if us had a Pho with grilled beef, rice bowl with grilled pork, vermicelli bowl with grilled chicken and viet spring rolls. All highly recommended. reasonable pricing all in $42. Great service. Highly recommended"
