Have been past this pub a million times but have never dropped in until last weekend when out on a muddy dog walk. What I have been missing! Great single bar pub with extremely friendly young servers, a warm welcome for myself and attendant dog and the best pub burger I can ever remember eating. Not what we expected food wise. The place itself is lovely and steeped in history, but the food and service (kitchen) was disappointing.Onion rings, chips and beef burger were frozen, not fresh.
