We visit family in West Vancouver every year and have been coming to Ichiban for at least 10 years. My wife spent part of her teenage years in West Vancouver and was eating at Ichiban even back then.The sushi (sashimi and Nigiri) are fresh and very tasty! It is a tired old restaurant that has been around for over 25 years. The decor needs updating.I found the food average, the service was poor - only 1 waitress to service the whole restaurant. Pretty good spot. Old fashioned decor but decent food and good service. Clean bathroom.
The place also attends to you at the counter and serves you meals and drinks, and there is a dining room with chairs/tables. If the weather are right, you can also have something to eat outside.
