"We were nine for dinner on Mothers' Day and it couldn't have gone better. From the wonton and sweet and sour soups, to the spring rolls, from the Peking duck (two ways) to the prawns in black bean sauce, chicken with cashews, chicken chow mien and the melt in your mouth pork ribs, every dish was spot on, tasty and very well presented. The place was a bit of a madhouse with every seat taken and a truck-load of huge take-out orders being handled without a pause in our service. The staff were friendly and very helpful and delivered our meals with a lot of smiles. My grandchildren suggested that we will have to go back and we will, no question. If you are looking for the best Chinese food on the North Shore, this is it."

"After 9:30 p.m, it is hard to find a place to have a nice meal in West Van. We decided to see if the Keg had opened yet, and it just had. Kind of spooky parking the car in the empty shopping centre lot, and walking in the dark to find the door. (Now that summer is here, evening light will make it easy to find).Once we entered, we were so pleasantly surprised. This Keg is definitely a new, upscale modern concept. Lovely design, comfortable seating near a designer fireplace, and a menu that somehow seemed an advance over the old menus. (We hadn't been to a Keg for a long while). Whether the menu has changed or not, we found what we wanted, had excellent service, and determined that we would be back. Particularly that even when the restaurant closes late, they offer their menu in the bar area. They also have a heated patio that will be a pleasant spot during summer.I called them to report that TripAdvisor had them listed as closed, but they are open as can be."

"An interesting menu of delightful Malaysian cuisine. The staff are helpful and polite. We came upon the Banana Leaf when looking for a restaurant for a late ( 9pm) dinner; everywhere else nearby was closed but the Banana Leaf came to our rescue."

"We’ve been a huge supporter of Swad since it opened, spending consistently with them throughout those years. When ordering $200 of food on DoorDash each Friday through Covid it is galling to have a call from them demanding another $10 for adding paneer to a...veggie dish. Poor management and weak customer loyalty. I’ve been a restaurant owner for over 30 years. It would never occur to me to piss off such a regular customer."
