"If you want good fried perch, you need to visit Port Dover. Right on the beach of Lake Erie where perch is abundant. Can't be any fresher. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked. The fries were hand cut and crispy. Even the coleslaw was great, not too sour not too sweet. Definitely a must when visiting!"

"I ordered the mussels and 4piece panko perch on a Saturday afternoon after a rain. The dining room was full because the patio was closed. I found the service excellent and the food was great. I even got an extra piece of perch. I come a few times a year and am always satisfied."

"We had dinner and brekfast and were impressed with both meals.Their dinner salad cart was loaded with fresh homemade vege treats. Then followed by their delicious famous celery bread and a main dish that we were glad to pay for, especilly at their reasonable prices.We were really pleased and enjoyed both experiences."

"When it is open, (only in summer), this place makes the best french fries in Dover. Period. They hand cut actual potatoes, cook them long enough in clean oil, and serve them hot and fresh. The prices are good. The service is friendly, and the...few tables with umbrellas they have on their little yard is one of the nicest spots to sit and watch the harbor and the people passing by. There are four or five other places serving fries down there and these are definitely the best. No contest. The Arbour makes decent fries but they are more expensive, and not as good and the other places, Forget it. I have never had anything but fries here and so I cannot comment further, but when you are in the mood for french fries do yourself a favor and come here. I live in Dover and know of what I speak."
