It was my first time here and it is a very good place to eat with very friendly service. A local hotel career recommended it as they eat there, too. I had breakfast that was delicious. Your coffee is Java Jeff's and is very good. It's so good, I didn't want to go. I live out of town, but I will try to return to this restaurant soon. View all feedback.
What Tommy Taylor doesn't like about Parkway House:
I have eaten at other Parkways before and the food was always bad and so was the service so i cringed when my friend suggested I eat here when the diner I chose was closed. This turned out to be the best one. Young lady was super nice and friendly and did a great job. The food was better than the others. I could eat here again. View all feedback.
Have eaten at the original Parkway House in Harrisburg 100s of times. Worked in the area till retirement Always great food and service. Since retiring I've tried 20-30 times to eat at Albemarle location where I live hoping it would improve. Not once have I been satisfied. The place is very clean though. Very small portions. Wait staff is constantly changing n slow and it shows. Waiters don't have enough customers to stay busy n make money. So why should they care. Side orders in those stonewear bowls is not warmed adequately. Butter won't even melt in mashed potatoes. A cold hvy stoneware bowl takes the heat out of 2 to 3 ounces of sides before they get to table. And yes I've actually measured the contents. Happens repeatedly. It actually looks like Pete is just buying his time till lease runs out. Believe me Albemarle needs family restraunts so so bad and have for years. I wish it would be bought out n improved. Really surprised/disappointed. Pete's apparently given up on that location. I've left my name and ph# with staff 6-8 times addressed to Pete for a call but have never received a response.
Love going here for breakfast. Everything I've had has been great.

I was recommended by a co-worker so we stopped on our lunch break I had the flounder with fries and coleslaw the food was hot and fresh just how I like it the only drawback was that the fish and fries needed season and the coleslaw taste like it was just made and had not marinated because the mayonnaise flavor was over powering. Sorry no photos I only had 30 minutes left on my lunch break. But I will return again
