Moonlight Restaurant Bar - Albufeira

We went there on a rainy day because we were staying at the hotel and the restaurant has overall good reviews. We were very surprised by our experience. The restaurant appears quite fancy, the plates are presented in a sophisticated way. However, the food was one of the worst meals we had on our trip. The meat was too salty, the chocolate cake was hard like a 1 week old bread. The prices were about 3 times higher than in a good restaurant just around the hotel. And on top of this, there is very little understanding and options for vegetarians.

Professional staff and quality fresh food. Clean, comfortable. Exterior terrace for 8 tables. Separate bar open 7pm-11pm for pre dinner drinks. Family Dinner end July 2021. 9pm. Window seat x4. Wonderful. Excellent varied a la carte menu. Freshly made mains. Fillet Steak still the best. Indulgent desserts, especially for Children. Friendly professional helpful staff. Amazing sunset views from 6th floor. Thankas again to Maria the Assistant Restaurant Manager and Beautrix the Duty Manager. Fantasitc Douro white and red wine. Fresh crisp white and red Port. Even paid extra to return for a second visit that week. Could do with: Mood lighting still required. Soft background music could be a little louder as too quiet. We stayed a week in the hotel so they gave us a voucher for one night in the Moonlight restaurant which we saved for the end of our holiday. We were blown away by the beautiful sunset, and the food was amazing. Service a bit slow, but it was very relaxing.
