What RianneFox doesn't like about Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza:
I’m unsure whether honey is still used in all their crusts. My boss visited this location to get a pizza for a meeting and was told that the gluten-free crust was vegan. I had my doubts, so I called to verify, and the person on the phone informed me that nothing is vegan and they don’t even offer vegan cheese. At first, I assumed this restaurant didn't have any vegan options since their regular menu doesn't include them. However, after reaching out to the restaurant, I was delighted to discover they offer vegan pizza crust, vegan cheese, and vegan sausage. Their online ordering system for pickups and deliveries is quite flexible, allowing you to select a non-vegan pizza and request vegan modifications. I had my doubts, so I called to verify, and the person on the phone informed me that nothing is vegan and they don’t even offer vegan cheese. I then emailed the location and received a different response: they do have vegan cheese, but the gluten-free crust is not vegan, although other crust options are. That’s three conflicting answers with no apologies for the confusion (I could have had a serious reaction if I had eaten that crust) and no assurance that the staff would be updated on the correct information. I just can’t trust it.
