Went here with friends on Sunday night and it was fantastic! Didn't wait long for our meals to come out and when they did everything tasted amazing. The beef massaman was melt in your mouth delicious! Definitely in my top 2 for Thai Albury-Wodonga. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Chao Thai:
Had heard good reports about this place so went there for lunch yesterday. The overall experience was most disappointing. The decor was lovely with crisp white tablecloths set with beautiful blue and white Thai plates. However, the Diet Coke was flat, the Samosas were cold and the main meal was just awful. My friend did not like her Pad Thai because it had an unusual taste. My stir fry ginger chicken was terrible. Th... View all feedback.
I had the Pad Thai chicken at this restaurant and it gave me diarrhea and made me sick for three days. I will never go back again. The price for the Pad Thai chicken was $21, which I found to be very high considering the poor quality of the dish. Additionally, they put a very bad smelling peanut topping on the Pad Thai. I have never had such a bad dining experience in my life.
Went to this restaurant to celebrate a family member's birthday. We arrived everything was fine, After being seated and drink orders were being taken, I asked for a Jasmine Tea, the waitress said yes I will go see if we have the Tea, she never came back but sent another waitress over. After waiting for 15 minutes for her to get back to me about the Tea, I ended up having to approach the waitress asking for the Tea. Meanwhile, all the other members of the party were either been served but waiting an obscene amount of time to get their drinks, they were not busy maybe 5 tables. So waiting another 15 minutes the waitress came to take our dinner order, I asked her for the Tea again, she came back with the explanation they were waiting for the kettle. When the Tea finally arrived I expected jasmine tea leaves not a teabag from the local supermarket, very disappointed. After ordering and the food arrived, the fish cake was inedible, and my husband's meal looked bland and unappealing, cold and his rice was cold which is not good. All in all a very bad experience, and will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone.
I tried this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation for takeout, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend it to others. While the portions were large, the flavor was disappointing. The meat was cooked well, but it did not taste authentic Thai - it was more like Chinese food, with flavors that were either too salty or too sweet (e.g. Pad see ew). The crying tiger dish was more like a stir fry and was missing key elements. I am Chinese and have lived in Thailand for almost ten years, so for me to say that I would rather go hungry than order from this restaurant again says a lot.
Food was bland disgusting . Chicken skewers dried out and over cooked worst Thai I've had in 3 years. Will never be back
Very salty food, not authentic, last time. Ee did mentioned about salt.... no change.... when asked warm water, the bottle is warm but water inside is not ... Don't want to go again
