We had dinner at the Marriott Courtyard restaurant on our last day in Cancun. The seating area was very spacious and comfortable. We chose to sit outside beside the garden where the lush tropical greens were a feast to the eyes. Our waiter was delightful whose English was rather good. He paid attention to the children’s allergies and explained what dishes would be safe. We had tortillas chips of course with guacamole... View all feedback.
What Geirrún Elímars doesn't like about El Henequen:
Overall good food but horrible service by josue, kept me reminding us we had to pay more to use bufet on more expensive side after we told him it was fine and we’ll pay, rushed to charge us and didn’t even say thank you as well as he tried to charge us more. View all feedback.
Loved the food, I was looking for a quick breakfast and I saw this place opened at 7:00am close to the airport, I’m glad I came here the waiters make you feel at home they treat you like family it was a great feeling. I had the buffet and it was so good I’m pretty sure this will be a must visit next time I come to Cancún
I don't often expect a hotel restaurant to be anything more than a place to eat some food. This restaurant challenges that in a big way. The food was terrific and the service attentive.
Hotel restaurant works hard to meet desires from multiple cultures and types of food. For the most part, it works fine. The breakfast buffet is mostly American style with touches of Mexican. Go for the Mexican. The price point for the breakfast is really the only thing on the menu that seems a bit higher than it should be. We had two dinners there in a two week period and everything we had was fine. Kids had pizza and chicken fingers. Vegetarian burrito was large and tasty, according my daughter in law. Son's steak was great. I had fish tacos and a pork dish, both good and appropriately sized. My wife had some pasta that worked very well. The service was good, although we had a few communication issues, we solved them easily. This isn't necessarily a restaurant I'd seek out, but it isn't one I'd avoid either. The outdoor seating makes for a comfortable, relaxed dinner.
El Henequen is a lovely restaurant located within the Marriott Courtyard Airport Cancun. There is plenty of seating, yet the atmosphere is intimate and elegant. We ate there twice, once for dinner and the following day at breakfast. The dinner menu is impressive and the food delicious, as well as very reasonably priced for a resort town. The staff is friendly, as one would expect in Mexico, and attentive. At breakfast, there is a massive buffet. We opted to order from the menu, whose choices were plenty for breakfast. Again, the staff could not have been nicer. If you get the "Healthy" Breakfast, make sure that they don't forget to bring your fruit plate, as they almost did mine. Others in our party had the waffles, pancakes, omelets, and other items, all of which were reported to be delicious. When in Mexico in general, remember to request your check when you are ready to go. They don't want to be rude and bring your check without your having asked for it, and would let you sit there all day if you wished. We enjoyed our meals in this restaurant and I recommend it highly. A nice bonus is being able to dine on the patio, which adjoins the absolutely beautiful courtyard, complete with fountain and nesting tropical birds, some of which will entertain you by stealing food from nearby empty tables!
We were so happy to find this restaurant in an airport hotel!! Server Gabriel took such good care of us. All the food was way above quality of hotel food. And fairly priced. The breakfast buffet included in the price of the room was nothing short of amazing. This place is a hidden gem in Cancun.
