Visited on a freezing evening after a hockey match. Had flake, minimum chips and calamari rings. The calamari rings were truly satisfying, thick, crisp and in no way chewy. We found the flake and chips were very good. Service was good and food prepared fast. Prices are very cheap. They are cash only so make sure you have some folding stuff. View all feedback.

Goodness me... that is the absolute worst fish and chips... ever. We thought we would give it a try as it was convenient at the time. The elderly lady serving and cooking was confused and had trouble reading her own writing... everything is pre battered ... the fish was so thin and dry ... the batter was chewy... the chips were completely inedible, so dry. sorry, can't find one compliment. Excluded from the quality of fish and chips. missing items. we got it about 15 minutes before closing and they were kind anyway. our usual fish and chips are closed on Tuesday, but we will not try this option again.
Eating is good, but that's the third time I came and got the wrong burger. I called this time and the personal was not helpful. said: I ordered that burger gave me what I did not when they read the order back to me and gave me a carving burger I never had. don't give customers sick of money anymore and eat only chips.
Fish and chips taste great. one of the best shops in ballarat for chips!
After a nice walk around the lake, we stopped here for lunch. George was so friendly, the the food was yummy and fresh...... Awesome potato cakes......... They are a must !
