Visited on a freezing evening after a hockey match. Had flake, minimum chips and calamari rings. The calamari rings were truly satisfying, thick, crisp and in no way chewy. We found the flake and chips were very good. Service was good and food prepared fast. Prices are very cheap. They are cash only so make sure you have some folding stuff. View all feedback.

Goodness me... that is the absolute worst fish and chips... ever. We thought we would give it a try as it was convenient at the time. The elderly lady serving and cooking was confused and had trouble reading her own writing... everything is pre battered ... the fish was so thin and dry ... the batter was chewy... the chips were completely inedible, so dry. sorry, can't find one compliment. The chips here are amazingly super crisp and fluffy. Good portion size, considering it's just $5. The staff here is very friendly and fast and efficient.
We visited Melbourne on a small road and went to Arch for lunch. The nice owner told us that they had been there for 51 years and if you last so long, you have to do something right! This is an old school square, no upturn with imagination and bride. Only good old fish and chips perfectly cooked. You can say a good fish and chips through the oil change, and that was super fresh and didn't let you feel bad after that good sign! We will also be back for a day trip, highly recommended.
After a nice walk around the lake we stopped here for lunch. George was so friendly, the food was delicious and fresh...... Great potato cake......... You're a must!
Simply the best fish chip shop in the city! The potato cakes are great, the flock was delicious and overall the min chips was a fair amount and not greasy at all! Yum, will definitely be back!
Great food.Fresh and tasty and well priced.we drove from Melbourne to sample the food.worth the drive.
