Dutch Pancake Masters B.v. Amsterdam

We hebben gisteren weer heerlijk gegeten. Ook als je een allergie hebt maken ze de lekkerste pannenkoeken. De ingrediënten zijn super vers en van goede kwaliteit. Het is echt pannenkoek next level. De borden zijn echte kunstwerken en het eten is super lekker. Tip: Probeer de homemade icetea met vers fruit,

What a shame! We walked in and it was very busy which is a good sign! We had a table for 3, ordered our food and drinks and drinks came fairly quickly. Waited half an hour, no pancakes, another half an hour, still no pancakes. We asked the waitress twice where are our pancakes and she said on both occasions “they will be 2 minutes” the second time she said this we actually timed the wait! Larger groups walked in after us and were served before us. We thought that maybe the waitress had forgotten to put our order through (still not sure what happened) but the table next to us were also waiting a very long time. We kept being told that “we’re very busy and there were a lot of tickets before you” yes we appreciate you are busy but for a pancake house you should be knocking out hundreds of these! It’s all you do! We complained about the long wait and the fact that we missed our boat trip. The waitress told us to go to the counter and speak to the manager (bloke in the red tie) we went over and he had no idea what we were talking about. Told us he could not offer any form of discount even though he was the manager. I’m pretty sure managers are employed to ensure every customer who walks through the door has a good experience. We were not happy and he he just kept saying the wait was due to number of people dining at that time. You’d think they’d never been busy before! He also told us that “fluffy pancakes” take a long time to make! Had we been aware of this and that there was going to be an hour wait at the time of ordering, we would have gone elsewhere as we had a trip booked! We weren’t even given the option to leave or made aware of any delays! Only one person in our party ordered fluffy pancakes by the way. Manager made us feel very uncomfortable and his pathetic excuse of “fluffy pancakes take a long time” was laughable. When the food did arrive the pancakes were good, just very pricey for what we got and the unnecessary wait we had to endure. Had the manager not been so abrupt and not make us feel uncomfortable, I would have recommended this place.
