My steak was scrumptious as were my husband's short ribs--a favorite of both of ours. Our caesar salad (with anchovies!!! was fresh and delicious and his brownie dessert was sinfully wonderful (and I ate the caramel sauce . Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and courteous. We even got a parking space out front! What's not to like? The place is outstanding. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Persephone Restaurant:
Overall, we had a nice dinner at Persephone. We sat on the patio, which was peaceful. Our appetizers were it underwhelming, but we both enjoyed our entrees (the truffled tortiglioni and cheese and seared strip loin). The one let down was the manager came by to acknowledge that we were celebrating a birthday and told us we would received a free dessert on the house, but when the bill came, we were charged for the dess... Persephone restaurant surpasses virtually every expectation I have for a restaurant every time I eat here.
The Food here is outdated, overworked, underwhelming and unimaginative.

Great food, great service, great desserts, great wine, great Vietnamese coffee ... for 2 people a nice dinner with a bottle of wine costs $ 100
Exceptional food in an authentic, non-demanding environment. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, which added to the great experience. For bread lovers, there are 3 different breads, all of which are made there and are all wonderful. I stop on the way out of town to pick up bread and take it home to friends. My salad was fabulous and the vodka chicken pasta (a specialty) was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. The specials change with the seasons. Desserts are all made there and everyone looked great. We share the ice cream on Sunday with homemade caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache. It was wonderful. You can share it with 4 people as it is very large. We will definitely have dinner here again when we return to Mayo and Golf.
