The Mexican food at this restaurant is excellent! The chips are great and everything tastes very authentic, though it still has an American influence. What User doesn't like about La Carreta:
Had 2 margaritas and they were both different in flavors. Had to ask for bean dip twice. Server never asked if our dinner was satisfactory. Carnitas had a lot of fat. Never received a bill. Had to request it from the cashier with no apology. Will not go back. View all feedback.
We visited this restaurant for the second time today. Unfortunately, the waiter was not very attentive and there were some issues with our food orders. My daughter's meal was incorrect and my torta did not resemble the picture at all. It was a bit chaotic and disappointing. The service was the worst part of our experience. The waiter rarely checked on us and I had to call him over multiple times. We ended up spending over an hour there, mostly due to the slow service. When I was ready to pay, I informed the waiter, only to be told to pay at the front. However, when I tried to stop him from taking my card, he walked away. It was a strange and uncomfortable situation, and I ultimately did not leave a tip. I have never had to wait so long for service before and it was a disappointing experience. I accidentally left my credit card at the restaurant and when I returned, they were unable to locate it. It turns out I had left it on the front counter.
I was blown away by the food at this restaurant! It was delicious and I had no issues after eating there. I felt great afterwards. Definitely recommend!

The atmosphere is spectacular and so quaint, sweet and comfortable but everything else suffered. The service was discontinued and our food was what I’d call a “hot mess”. The presentation was okay, overcooked and then also undercooked on both of our meals, the dish I ordered wasn’t per the menu and the rice was undercooked and tough. The taquitos were greasy and boring (just chicken and no cheese). The food overall is sub par and lacked flavor honestly.
