We enjoyed a delicious early dinner at The Market Place on a Friday night after Thanksgiving. The Grouper was huge, grilled perfectly, and surrounded by a vegetable medley that included tomatoes and cooked spinach with something like couscous. The grilled Quail was cooked perfectly and complimented with nice sides. The kale fritters were a filling starter along with the Market Place salad. Service was excellent. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Market Place:
No gluten free menu. No kids menu. Not the spot to visit, if you’re anticipating a luxurious dinner with family. The ambiance was lacking as the decor was dated and lighting too bright. View all feedback.
Asheville's original Farm to Table restaurant is a must-visit. The staff is fantastic, the menus are always changing. Be sure to stop by and grab a "Benton's" cocktail and a charcuterie board at the bar. Whether dining or just grabbing a drink, you'll have a relaxing and enjoyable time.
We had not been in a while and The Market Place did not disappoint. Charcuterie Board was the best we have tried in Asheville. Salads and main courses were unique, flavorful and well prepared. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. The original chef driven, farm to table restaurant in Asheville is still at the top of their game.
Still an Asheville fave. Service was excellent, and the food from cocktails to the squash and red snapper awesome.
Appears small in front but inside is spacious and very nice. The waiter was awesome, informative and patient. The food was well presented and delicious. The charcuterie board was well prepared, delicious! Love the Pavlova dessert. Plan to return and highly recommend.
I had the lamb, and it was fantastic. My server Dakota was incredibly helpful. The value/quality is excellent!
