I give one star as a native NEW YORKER, their bagels stink, 1st off they are super thick n lacks the Consistency of a bagel absolutely blend no taste the variety that they have is a selected choice as well as the cost is extremely pricey for the neighborhood
We visited friends in Astoria this past weekend, and we went here 3 different times. The bagels are absolutely outstanding. They are kettle boiled, apparently... I'm not entirely sure what that process is, but it makes a delicious bagel. I had a hot French vanilla latte that was comparable to what I would get at Dunkin. Not bad, but not great. We had to wait a bit for our order all three times, which wasn't a problem. It's a busy place, but they are quick. When they come visit us, we are going to have them bring us a baker's dozen. A baker's dozen is 14 bagels here.
Love this place. Every time I come from San Antonio, I find my way to this place. The bagels are huge, they don't skimp on the cream cheese and the people are sooooo nice! I really appreciate them.Take extras!
For whatever reason, every time you order for pick up the order is ALWAYS wrong. It’s bizarre. Usually it’s the correct bagel, wrong cream cheese and wrong toasting and scooping instructions. You end up overpaying too because of that. Plus, here’s how they cut my bagel this morning. I’m going to start picking up my bagels from Astoria Bagel Shop a few blocks down.
This place is AMAZING!! I grew up on Long Island and left in the mid 80's. I've been back to the island four times this summer, and before I return to New Mexico, I pick up 12-24 bagels to take home to family!! There is nothing like a quality NY bagel. During one of my visits this summer, an employee noticed me zipping up the bagels in gallon freezer bags. He came over and recommended I not seal the bags for at least 30 minutes since the bagels were still warm. I sealed the Baggs after I got through TSA security. WE LOVE LOVE LOVE BROOKLYN BAGEL COFFEE COMPANY!! I'll be back one more time next week!
