Excellent food and attentive service . beautiful presentation. I was extremely pleased. I wish that the portions were slightly larger. I agree with previous reviews that said not show up hungry. I had the buratta salad, arctic char and the white chocolate mousse for dessert. the noise level was higher than ideal-had some difficulty hearing my friend who was across the table.Overall, very high level dining-will defi... Had an amazing experience getting afternoon tea. Would recommend it highly!
If you 're looking for a quiet, high end place to enjoy afternoon tea L 'Orangerie is a good option. The lounge is only accessible to hotel guests and restaurant patrons. Make sure you have a reservation in advance. Ambiance was relaxing and cozy. You could spend a couple of hours here playing a game of chess or reading next to the fireplace. I received a hand-crafted drink once I was seated and there was a lovely note from the hotel manager. After that my review is mixed. Tea options include artisanal teas typically found at five-star hotels. I 've purchased this particular tea brand before from online and appreciated the aroma and quality of the tea. The food on the other hand was not up to the same standards. Call me a purist, but cream cheese beaten with sugar and heavy cream is a clotted cream look-a-like. For those of us that can distinguish the taste, it was disastrous. The scones which were just the right amount of soft inside and crisp outside, but don 't waste the clotted Devonshire Cream on them. The finger sandwiches tasted okay, but not anything to write home about. Desserts looked phenomenal and were a mixture of good and fair. If you 're looking for a place to entertain others with exceptional service but just the looks of a high-end afternoon tea then look no further. However, if you are a purveyor of all things afternoon tea there are much better options a few blocks away.
This is a nice place to hold business meetings. It's quiet, the service is impeccable and the food is actually quite good. This is becoming my go to place for business meals now.
We went there before a performance at Vancouver Opera. The Afternoon High Tea was excellent. Attentive and polished service.
