What Kelli Carroll doesn't like about Lamberts:
It was fine. Four of us split a couple apps, an entrée and a few sides. Plenty of food and pretty tasty. Would have been super expensive if we 'd all ordered separately. One of the problems was that our food turned ice cold within minutes, sitting under the high fans near the back. It was literally blowing my hair into my face. We were cold too and asked if they could turn the fan down a notch. The server said 'no, t... View all feedback.
Lamberts is pricier than your typical BBQ tariff, but you get what you pay, with an upscale interior, good service and excellent food with some quality pages that you do not find at Franklin or Terry Black. The brisket was excellent, moist and with a good bark. They serve two types of ribs, one with a sauce and one with dry rut we had the lower variety that had great taste. The smoked sausage was also good. They also sell their own dry rubbing for meat, and in the past I have enjoyed a fair amount of success with it on my house barbecue efforts.
All we ordered was beyond expectations. The ribeye was perfect and the other meats each had their own different flavors. Sometimes when it is grilled or smoked meat, everything tastes the same, not this place. Each meat was perfectly cooked. We had the potatoes and they were fabulous. Very recommended.
That's the third MML restaurant I was on my way to and my roommates. It has a wonderful atmosphere, great placement, a fantastic whisky menu and the food of course is beyond faith. The fried pickles were the best appetizer I ever had. Perfect balance of heat, toe of Dill and Knall from vinegar. The queso with pork burned ends is brilliant and perfectly balanced between the aromas. I tried all meats and they were all fantastic, but the brisket and the shirt ribs were the hangers of the group. The pork ribs surpassed them all and were absolutely delicious and fell from the bone. The Mac n cheese was amazing and creamy and the spiced frits were incredibly crispy, but surprisingly fluffy on the inside. I don't know how they cooked them, but they were different from any pommes I've ever had in a good way.
A very lively and popular place, we have the Chipotle queso, three meat samplers and heritage carrots avocado that were all delicious. The Queso, pork ribs and Brisket were stand-out dishes and would definitely go back for them.
My friends and I really enjoyed our time at Lambert’s. We were a party of 5 and we order a range of plates to sample, as none of us had ever been to the restaurant before. Our favorite dishes all-around were actually the queso, bacon cheeseburger, and half-chicken plate. While the barbecue was pretty good, we were totally wowed by these three aforementioned dishes. The queso was some of the best we’ve ever had! The half-chicken, which I highly recommend, is easily enough for two people. The bacon cheeseburger just had such high-quality meat and was perfectly cooked and juicy. Lambert’s is definitely a cool spot worth trying out! Great for groups or a date. A lot of nice drinks on their menu as well.
