We stopped and had lunch in this pub/restaurant while travelling through. We had some doubts as we went in through the pub and this was not what we were really looking for at the time. We then sat in a side room off the pub and it was excellent. the service and food were very good. We had one of the best cheese plates we have had. View all feedback.
What Raegan Welch doesn't like about Auberge Ayer s Cliff:
The employees wore their masks below their noses. The beer had too much foam and was only three-quarters full. They did not seem interested in catering to a gluten-free guest. The food took over two hours to be served after we had seated ourselves. We do not plan on returning. View all feedback.
We reserved (for our jubilee and were better served in the ice shop above the road than this 120.00 lunch with two entree and two straight and water. fly between constant (many flying that are in our meal! and the depressing slit...the group in the back not give the utensilien needed to eat. this is among the worst experiences we had. we made a huge mistake, here in any case should have chosen elsewhere. they have not even taken our names at the arrival when they even showed up. they were too busy, ready for other customers or something like the bar fly and the slot machines regularly. this was our third and last attempt at the years. everyone has another sad result. not to mention the tables and chairs must stain, weed grew out of the deck and mentioned annoying flying everywhere. it seemed unstoppable and not clean.
Ordered a sandwich. the french description included the words smoked meat , followed by the english description which was reuben sandwich. Worst reuben by far I 've ever had. The meat texture was of rubber, and without taste. Like maybe they bought the meat at close out...at a Walmart outlet ? The seasame bun was good, but did not belong on a reuben, which calls for rye bread. I asked the waitress if she even knew what a reuben was.....she 'd never heard of it. Maybe the worst sandwich ever. Salad which came with it would have been o.k. if not dressed with a sickly sweet dressing. Served in a small steep sided bowl which made it difficult to eat. It took miles to get over that awful meal.
This is a very old inn in Ayer’s Cliff and we spent a night using a Tuango coupon. The room was very outdated but comfortable. No air conditioning but the stand up fan helped alot. The food was pretty good but the service was excellent....I woulden’t really recommend this inn unless you would really need a place to sleep over for one night. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
The melted cheese cube with salate was excellently crunchy and soft on the outside. the burger was very delicious excellent portion size. the tiramisu was beautiful on the outside glazed and delicious. the service was slow, but very attentive. that is understanding... with the Kovid situation. the atmosphere was beautiful. we enjoyed eating here.
