If you're sick of missing out on a table at Spice I am in Surry Hills, the Balmain incarnation of this restaurant is usually a lot easier.

Spice I Am has the most delicious stir fry vegetables I've ever had at a Thai restaurantI can also recommend the duck massaman on the Specials menu.
