One Thai - Balwyn

Always good food, pleasant service. Nice menu. Had couple of times taleaway during lock down. Always order too much but great for lunch next day.

The food from One Thai is consistently excellent, with just the right amount of spice, heat and flavour. Tonight I had the Pad Pik Pow chicken. It had heat but not at the expense of the beautiful sweet chilli jam. I drank the left over sauce from the container it was so good. Eating in (not quite yet thanks Covid-19) is a joy with friendly and attentive staff, and take away holds its flavour and deliciousness. I can't wait to eat in again.

Dined for dinner. Ordered fish cakes for entree shared spicy lamb with coconut rice roti for main. Food was tasty. Service friendly but very slow/inattentive at times. Place was full for a sat night. In the entertainment book so good discount off the total bill. As a group of 4 they would not let us pay with 2 credit cards. Sick tired of places not letting you pay like this!!

Returned to One Thai after a break. Noticed that the staff were eager to get rid of us early before even sitting down saying that we could have a table as long as we were out by 7pm. Absolutely shocking customer service. The food had dropped off a bit from before, not as good as it was. Another older couple received the same treatment as us which is a bit disturbing. Overall a shame they treat the customers like this.

Always on the lookout for authentic Thai, so we were happy to try One Thai for the first time, not quite local but near enough. Just the two of us, so, one vegetable spring roll entree and a couple of mains, pad grapow gai (stir fry minced chicken, chilli and basil) and a deep fried Barramundi with sweet and sour sauce. Both mains were excellent, really good flavours, took us back to Thailand. Will definitely come again to One Thai.
