I recently had my first meal here after years of driving past it on visits to Banff. My party of nine was extremely impressed by the food, atmosphere, and customer service. The pork dumplings were juicy and enormous in size but enveloped in a very delicate wrapper. The spring rolls were also large with generous chunks of shrimp folded into the pork and vegetables. Rice and noodles were tender and flavourful, vegetabl... View all feedback.
What Jamison Stark doesn't like about Silver Dragon Banff:
Wouldn't recommend!Mooshu pork had literally 6 pieces of pork, the rest was all vegetables! As you can see in the picture, this is all vegetables! That's unacceptable for 26$!!! And the BBQ pork was very fatty and all bones, barely any meat!Won ton soup was mediocre, some weird pieces of fat.Not sure why there are so many positive reviews, but we wouldn't be back. Friendly staff, delicious food. We had an exceptionally friendly waiter who was attentive and entertained with us about the local area. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. There were a variety of vegetables on the Chow Mein, and the pig was tender and covered with a delicious sweet sauce. 10/10 would recommend and would visit again we should get the chance.
Delicious food is quickly served by enthusiastic, attentive, helpful staff, in a beautiful environment. Ginger beef was amazing and perfectly crunchy. BBQ Ente had great taste especially with the orange sauce. We tried 3 flavors of ice cream for dessert and they were all delicious.
This is most definitely the best chinese food we've had, it's going to be hard ordering from somewhere else after this. Each family member picked 1 item and then we shared family style, we ended up with: Spicy boneless chicken, beef broccoli, special fried rice, fried chow mein, prawns in curry sauce and chicken balls. Everyone loved it so much that most of the plates were completely cleared and whatever leftovers we brought back were finished later. Service, decor, food ... all amazing.
I have eaten here twice the first time was very pleasant. Second time was okay, the service is good but when you have a complaint about your food it should be taken more serious especially that's the main reason customers visit this restaurant. The major problem with today's visit is that when I ordered Ginger Beef and the it says (HOT). Beside it on the menu I expect it to be actually Hot. When I mentioned this to my server they said he would tell the owner. Well guess what that's not how you make it right. With any issue that comes up your not supposed to tell a customer oh I'll just tell the owner??? When you pay almost 100 dollars for a meal I would have expected a much better out come. If your Ginger Beef had a level of hotness 1 out of 10 I would give it a 2... My wife is Filipino she wasn't very happy with the level of heat she actually laughed on how you have it listed as HOT. Only thing hot was the High Tea. #Nothappy #makeitright

The pork dumplings were juicy and enormous in size but enveloped in a very delicate wrapper. The spring rolls were also large with generous chunks of shrimp folded into the pork and vegetables. Rice and noodles were tender and flavourful, vegetables and meats were all perfectly sauced and cooked, fried items were crisp and satisfying. I appreciated the kindness and patience shown by staff to the three exhausted toddlers at our table. Can't wait to bring more people back here to experience this underrated gem!
