Rose Garden Chinese Restaurant

Once every country town around Australia had a Chinese Restaurant and we ordered by numbers - how we have changed this simple food

I don't like bagging places but unfortunately if you're affected by MSG give this place a miss.I hadn't been there for a couple of years (I much prefer another establishment - see another review of mine) but went there for lunch last week for lunch. This is an "all-you-can-eat" self-serve smorgasbord.Depending when you visit I guess, the choices can be quite limited with all the popular dishes empty. Not exaggerating, there were a couple of people standing around waiting for the chef to replenish the food for 15 minutes.The food tastes good but it's packed with MSG and I suffered for the next 4 or so hours. I won't be going back again, ever!If you're not affected by MSG, and you have time to wait for the food give it 4 stars.

Not a bad word to say about this restaurant. I live in Orange (40 mins away) and often travel to the Golden Rose. My family often come from all over to share a meal here. Food is always great and the service is always good. We've been coming here for about 10 years. :-)

The food was delicious and generous portion sizes. It was busy after the Anzac Day races and an extra wait staff person would have been handy.

As a couple we wanted a quick meal after coming from Sydney to Bathurst . The staff were helpful and the food was very good. I can recommend the Rainbow beef and the Fried rice..
