My partner and I had breakfast at this cafe today for the second time and we were very impressed by both the coffee and the food. Owning a cafe ourselves we know what is required to produce food of this standard consistently. I can't believe that some people rate this cafe so poorly because it is too noisy or the their bacon was too thick or because it has a small menu. Cafes are noisy, generally because there are pe... Fantastic contemporary industrial design fit-out welcomes us to new cafe on High St. Bright and clean look.At 9 am on a weekday we look forward to a simple 'big brekky'. Unfortunately the eclectic menu disappoints our simple wish. Ordered pork benedict (has eggs!) and burger (Katsu Chicken) with chips. Both are average dishes and latter surprise on interpreting "chips" as crisps (as in packet of ...!). Hoped to be re... View all feedback.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me! I only came back to this cafe because it was convenient and a friend said to meet her there. If you dont mind paying $20 for a toasted sandwich... not even a gourmet toasted sandwich, but like a toastie you would cook at home, then this is the place for you. My friend got a vego toastie which came with a side of cheesy cauli (very sml side), for $20. She said the toastie was actual nice, but not for $20. Talk about ripping your customers off. I had the Bao buns (which the waitress forgot to tell us about the specials, but the chef was ok to change my order after i found out). Buns were nice, but nothing to make me come running back to this place. I will not be dining here again. Extremely expensive for what you receive.
Our front table overlooked the street, with large glass windows all around which gave a lovely spacious feel. Our lunch was very reasonably priced, tasty and fresh, with very good coffee, friendly and welcoming service. We will definitely return! Highly recommended.
The cafe has concrete flooring, so the cafe is cold and very loud. If your after a trendy little cafe with plenty of breakfast choices, then try this place. If your after lunch, then you will have limited choice. It is an all day menu, but I found the menu to have so much breakfast options, and really only 3 or 4 real lunch options (unless you wanted something with eggs on it). The coffee and hot choc was luke warm, not to my desire.. i like it hot, especially on a cold day! I choice the bao buns, which i received 3 for $19. Much to my surprise, they filled me and were delicious. My friend had poached eggs on toast with a side of bacon and relish. An extra $1.50 for relish...really!!!!! only piece of toast with 2 eggs... i dont get this, but most cafes do it. she said it was ok. Would i rush back tomorrow, no. Would i ever go back agai?, if someone else was shouting, then maybe. Menu is limited and confusing (is it asian, modern australia im not sure they know). No chips or wedges on the menu, and didnt see any other choices for children. I used the entertainment book, so received 25% off total bill. The menu on their web page was different to what i received today.
Very poor service. Shown to a dirty table which was cleaned while we sat there. No menus offered, we eventually got up got them. Cutlery dropped on table all together. Food took ages despite there being almost as many staff as customers. Was good, no more. Won’t be returning.
The friendly and cute alt staff make my day each time ; Great food, great presentation, always busy/popular
