Cafe Essence - Bendigo

I had the best experience!! Food was delicious, such a warm and positive environment. Meals came out extremely fast which is a big yes for me and my coffee was perfect. My friends and I will be definitely coming back

Cafe Essence is the perfect spot for a quick, yummy lunch. I stopped by today and was served promptly even though they were quite busy. My meal was delivered to my table in less than 10 minutes by a lovely, well mannered waitress. The food itself was delightful. As a vegetarian I sometimes find it difficult to find delicious meals on Cafe menus but this wasn't an issue at Cafe Essence. The mild vegetable curry was fragrant, rich and filling without being overpowering or hot. Deceptively generous serving size, plenty of variety in the veggies and far more curry than rice. For $14 it was a very enjoyable lunch. Will visit again.

My son recently had a birthday and Mynette make him a beautiful MUD CAKE. Mynette is a "true professional" made with the freshest ingredients you can always rest assured that Cafe Essence has the best home cooked food of any cafe in Bendigo.

A great spot for breakfast, lunch or brunch. Food is always fresh and well-presented, service is fast, friendly and efficient. The coffee is excellent. I have NEVER had a bad coffee here. Pleasant decor with cushioned seats along the side. Outdoor tables are great on a sunny day. Service with a smile, attention to detail and reasonably priced - what's not to like? Obviously nada as this place has a loyal clientele who rarely stray far from base.

Risotto was very good. It is a bit noisy down stairs for a business meet / lunch but very good up stairs normally,
