Berkeley native here and still my favorite coffeehouse and coffee anywhere. Great outdoor seating and a welcoming atmosphere. I love and recommend the Bianca Mocha. View all feedback.
What Connor Warren doesn't like about Caffè Strada:
Located in a convenient location with plenty of seating. But the coffee was horrendous. Not sure what happened, but it seems like they pre-make all their espresso? I ordered mine and it was immediately handed to me…zero prep time. It surprised me, but then I took a sip and it was extremely bitter. The food was ok and the service was great! Maybe stick to a non-espresso drink if you’re going to visit. View all feedback.
Beautiful place been going there since I was little and they always are on point. Peace and blessings
My friend at Berkeley frequents this place a lot so he brought me here when I came to visit. Service was very friendly even with a confused customer. The layout of the cafe is organic feeling but is still orderly and has plenty of outdoor seating and some indoor seating with lots of greenery it looked amazing. I ordered a blueberry Danish, a ham and cheese panini, and then a chai latte. The panini bread was crisp on the outside fluffy on the inside with a satisfying melty filling. Chai was not that strong but it definitely doesn't have the overly milky taste a lot of chai lattes have even from some Indian restaurants I've been to. The Danish was pleasant. The environment is very conducive to meeting people or studying alike assuming you're someone who can study with the cafe and pedestrian buzz. Lots of dogs come in and out they're very cute. People from kids to the elderly were gathered. My friend had to stop me from buying a tote bag preemptively and told me if I liked the food enough when I come back I'll get the bag to represent. I'll be getting that bag the next time I come to Berkeley at all costs. Love this place. Kid-friendliness: Super friendly with kids and families
Great location with plenty of outdoor seating. Food was mid. Coffee was great.
Great coffee, pretty good cookie, and definitely a good place to get a quick something as a Cal student. Service was good too, and I'm definitely going back. (The drink I got still tasted good as the ice melted ?
Drove here because of the ratings popularity but it really doesn’t live up to the hype. The best part of this cafe is definitely location the outdoor seating. The WiFi was okay- kind of spotty. Fast at times and then would drop out. Service was 50/50- in that the person taking my order was so incredibly standoffish. Perhaps some of the worst cafe service I’ve experienced. The tall front of house person with long brown-red hair and bangs. The most dry attitude, but perhaps they’re just having a bad day? The other /50 was that the person who made my drink was kind and caring But unfortunately the drink itself was so not right? A cortado is a 4oz drink, 2oz espresso 2oz milk. My drink nearly filled a 10oz cup. Very strange. Tasted fine but not quite a cortado. Glad it’s got some good local regulars I don’t feel too bad being honest, but genuinely wouldn’t recommend and I won’t be back. Dietary restrictions: Non dairy options Parking: Expect to pay $10 for 2 hours at a street parking spot. Can pay at meter or via app. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs to get in. Lots of accessible seating/tables
