Although this is a large restaurant we experienced great personal service. It has an extensive menu but specialises in Peking duck dishes. Our food was nicely prepared and plentiful. Very reasonable prices for such a city centre establishment. View all feedback.
What Hans-Günter Wiedemann dislikes about China-Restaurant Peking:
Ungemütliche Atmosphäre, unaufmerksamer Service, Essen von schlechter Qualität. Jeder Strassenverkauf kann gebratene Nudeln schmackhafter und frischer herstellen. Waren froh, keinen Durchfall etc. bekommen zu haben. View all feedback.
Staying at the nearby hotel, Louisa's Place on the Ku'damn, this was quite convenient. I had seen how popular this place appeared by the huge volume of occupied tables outside. It has a huge selection of wines, plus the menu is available in German and English. I speak a reasonable amount of German but found the English menu rather helpful. The food is freshly cooked but each dish looked remarkably similar and the vegetables were a little oily. Price was a little on the high side, compared with other Chinese restaurants on the Ku'damn. What is a delight in Berlin, that these hostelries don't push up the beer prices as they do in UK and provide local draught beer (vom fass). I enjoyed my meal and would gladly visit again but there are higher quality and cheaper places to eat in Berlin.
I'm not sure if this is authentic or not but it tasted nice enough. I'd say the interior was quirky and old-fashioned rather than shabby - to each his own, I suppose.I'm fond of Siu Mai (described here as "Wan Tan") but it's the same the world over - if anything, this was slightly overcooked. However, I thought the suss-sauer ente (sweet and sour duck) was pretty good and I believe the sauce was made in-house.Prices were fine too (€11.50 for duck, €3.50 for egg fried rice, €5 for siu mai steamed pork dumplings). As another reviewer remarked, I ended up with a slightly upset stomach which might indicate food hygiene is not up to scratch. Also, the place was empty although that might have been down to the inclement weather and the fact that it was Monday evening.
Отличный ресторан, сервис. Обожаю китайскую кухню. Получила большое удовольствие от посещения этого ресторана. Вкуснятина. Сходите, советую.
Food was good, prices adequate. Restaurant needs renovation, its quite shabby. Take out is also available.
