Il Ritrovo - Berlin

Had the worst customer experience there. I am actually coming here really often and I bring most of the time friends and like to share this place with them. Today I came with my French friends, pizza is good as always but when we had to pay, the waiter started to get really rude with us and insult us in italian, saying some racist insult about French people yes we do understand Italian). We still don't know why, maybe we were a bit long to organise the payment together ... anyway it was not busy time and almost no customers... still not a reason to have been insulted! Really disappointed...

Tried to come to this place a few times, despite reading the reviews of the obnoxious staff. When we finally succeeded on a less than busy day at getting a table(less than a quarter of the tables were occupied), surprise surprise! Yep, the staff were clowns. Half of the staff were standing around smoking cigarettes while the other half who were working passed our table multiple times in a ten minute period, without so much as looking at us. So naturally we up and left and went to Napoli across the street for a much cheaper pizza whose staff didn 't ignore us. For the record: This is a very uncommon style of service which is NOT common in Italy. In fact, of all the pizza places I 've been to in Italy, only one had this near exact same type of service, and without surprise it was the worst pizza I had in Italy. Italian service is friendly, inviting and charming. These pseudo-punks can pretend their behavior is authentic, and maybe Berliners fall for this stuff telling themselves that it 's just how real Italians work. If you know your stuff though, you ain 't gonna find this place worthwhile or authentic in any capacity. It 's just a pretentious nonsense.

The pizzas are super tasty and big and quite cheap. The service are next level. The place has such a nice vibe. Left wing vibe. Totally recommended

We ordered two pizzas, one was great and really cheap, other had zero cheese, it was like eating bread with tomato sauce. I wanted to take it back but my gf was too hungry to hassles

Ate there one week ago with friends. We already had a weird feeling while eating. The pizza was actually pretty burned everywhere. As we asked the waiter he was really rude and said that this is normal. If this is normal for them, then...I dont understand how people can eat there. I spent the entire night on the toilet and had to throw up several times. Same for my friends. I WANT MY MONEY BACK.
