La Banca - Berlin

When they visit the rocco Forte website, the old menu of several years ago is still listed as this was a world-class restaurant with innovative Italian aromen. I don't want to miss the old regime anymore. as it is a hotel restaurant, the breakfast buffet is important for the guests and it is a bit liked, but still a fantastic breakfast. but also here you can see the change in the kitchen. instead of the two different fresh berry drinks, there is now a very delicious green drink, but now there is a steam table with stir and speck. so sad. since they still offer on order any conceivable fresh eggs, the anesthesia of the steam table may indicate the ascent of the groups of travel? who would eat old sweetest touch if it can be freshly prepared? Perhaps more Americans are coming to stay?Although I love the breakfast buffet, the other meal times here are not worth. too many better options available. the kitchen is competent, nothing bad, but nothing exciting on a limited boring menu. when they are happy, look at the old menu on the rocco Forte site, read them and weep them. one of the new additions is a Quinoa-Burger-Entree to dinner. the fish is well prepared, but nothing special that you cannot get elsewhere. I hope that management will read this and make a change. great hotel deserves good food. bring back the old chef who was creatiw and fresh. what we have now is German Italian food and indeed competent, but not funny or worth the price.

During a sightseeing day we ate in la banca too. we sat in their beautiful garden and had good food. we asked for two icy and they said they had to brow him. We got the ice cream all 15 minutes later. when the bill came, we were unconstitutional. they calculated us 9 euro for every ice-cream! when we complained, the manager with the shoulders and went away. outrageous. To be honest, it's out of what else was a nice lunch.

The bar in the hotel de rome is not very well known but offers a good selection of cocktails with high quality personal service. in contrast to most specialized cocktail bars is la banca (yes, this is the old headquarters of the dresdner bank) smoke-free. we have enjoyed a series of classics that have been made new. the bar is especially quiet and cozy in winter (in summer there is a rooftop bar...).

Each individual court in the la banca has been selected and selected. ingredients are fresh, jams and oil from own production (also on sicily). beautiful and cozy place to die, even if a lonely traveling, great wine and spirituose selection.

We had dinner in the la banca. the restaurant is located in the hotel de rome. we liked the stylish decoration, but unfortunately it was only average eating. the tartar appetizer lacked salt and seasoned, and the lobster noodles lacked the delicious lobster sauce, which is the key element of this dish. the service was friendly.
