What Peter S doesn't like about Arkle Manor Betchworth:
Disappointed with the food here, was rather average and we can think of many better places to eat. Rather expensive for what was on he plate. Inside was rather dark and lacked ambience. View all feedback.
Food and service were good, but the prices were high for food.
The food abducted here was quite average and we can think of many better places to eat. for what was on the teller, it is more expensive. in the inner was quite dark and lacked of ambiente.
Apart from the fact that at 18 o'clock there were some dinges not available on the menu, the eating we ordered was nice and the service excellent. the menu is large and diverse, so no problems with our second choice.
A well-run restaurant with helpful staff. the main course was good, no complaining here. steak well boiled and so was the hunch, nice crisp and pleasant chips. pudding was a sleep I think they have changed the recipe for sticky toffee pudding, I remember that it is soft and sweet. now it had nuts in and a quite unpleasant after taste shame as it ruined the meal for me
Quiet as was a Monday. Lovely garden at the back. Really enjoyed the scallops and prawn starter and the fish cakes. The passion fruit eton mess was very sweet so glad I had the smaller portion that came with coffee. Service very good but next time I will choose a table in the garden itself rather than the glass covered area as it got very hot. Will definitely return.
