Was delicious, great service. Had the truffle pasta and the sea bass. Calamari also great. The best was the Barbera d'asti red wine by the glass, really loved it. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Il Pastaio:
The service was slow. The waitress was unpleasant and seemed to be in a hurry with our table. The table ordered two glasses of wine and the second glass was not the same as the first. View all feedback.
I absolutely love the pasta with truffle at this restaurant! If you haven't tried it yet, you need to do so immediately! Also, the new outdoor seating area surrounded by trees is absolutely stunning!
I will definitely be returning! The food was incredibly tasty. The restaurant is a charming, cozy spot perfect for a date night. I visited with a friend for a birthday dinner and we ordered the Burrata Pugliese con Prosciutto as an appetizer (10/10), followed by the homemade pasta cooked in a cheese wheel (10/10). The Rigatoni alla Norma was also delicious (8/10). For a drink, I tried their espresso martini, which was fantastic (9/10).
The service was exceptional and the food was delicious at this upscale restaurant. I ordered the half lobster with pasta, paired with Heineken 0.0, Limon Tartinini, and Cappuccino. The energy and popularity of this place speak for themselves, with lines sometimes stretching down the block. It’s worth the wait, as this establishment truly stands out as a beacon of light on Cannon Drive. I highly recommend checking it out, as you’ll likely want to return again. In my opinion, it’s a must-visit for those looking to experience top-notch dining. 10/10 stars. As the saying goes, you go to the cheesecake factory when you want to be somebody, but you go to il Pastaio when you already are somebody.
Perfect date night restaurant! Valet parking is available for $15 and front row for $35 (I think). Indoor and outdoor seating is both available but in my opinion inside is much better. I ordered the burrata, the eggplant parm, the vodka penne with chicken and the salmon. Drinks were their lychee martini, apple martini, limoncello and iced latte. Dessert was the pana cota and the fruit tart. For someone who hates eggplant I tried it and absolutely loved it here. The texture is perfect and the flavor of the tomato and cheese complement it so well. Huge compliment to the older Italian waiter who was super patient with everything!
My friend took me here today for a Birthday lunch which was so kind of her! The sour dough bread is freshly made piping hot with yummy creamery butter 5 stars We had calamari which was lightly breaded and Caesar. Meh flavored except for the tomato dipping sauce. 3 rating My salmon pasta dish was delicious. They got the El dente so 5 star My friend's cacciatore was slightly burned and dry so she wasn't too happy about it 3 star Our server was super funny and nice his name is Benny. He took it up a notch 5 star What they didn't do in the food department this time was made up in the fact we were not rushed and the servers were all sweet and charming. This made the ambiance 5 star especially people watching and laughing at the McClaren who was showing off opening up his sliding wing doors and driving off obviously not knowing how to close them! Just another day in Beverly Hills! Rounded it to a 4 star experience
